Signia Xperience

By analyzing more input the hearing aid can understand more about the environment you are in and how you are interacting with it to make intelligent choices. Of course the patient can always manual override these choices to suit their needs if desired.
Motion sensor technology has become extremely accurate and we use proven technology to give our sound processing reliable input. However, it is not just motion sensors alone but the addition of more powerful acoustic sensors that add a new sense and make our existing sense more powerful.
In exchange for a small increase in consumption due to the addition of the new motion-acoustic sensors and chip is that they get a smaller hearing instrument with more features and thus more benefit.
By placing the motion sensors directly in the hearing aids we benefit greatly by having the motion data always accessible so it can be tied to the core of the audiological processing. 
Styletto X is suitable for a large range of hearing loss covering mild, moderate and severe via the exchangeable miniReceivers 2.0.
Styletto X is available in all performance levels (7, 5, 3, 2, and 1).

Styletto X has the Lithium-Ion rechargeability technology which is heavily used in various big industries like consumer electronics, automobile, etc.
Lithium-Ion battery is currently the best rechargeability solution in hearing aid industry due to its:

  • Longer daily runtime,
  • Longer overall lifetime,
  • Shorter charging time (together with a fast charging option), and
  • High usability/convenience for the user.

Fully charged Styletto hearing aids provide an:

  • Up to 19 hours daily runtime without streaming; and
  • Up to 16 hours daily runtime with 5 hours direct streaming.

The runtime of all lithium-ion rechargeable batteries reduces over time. The estimates are based on fresh lithium-ion rechargeable battery capacity. Under normal operating conditions, the battery will retain up to 80% of its initial capacity after 2 years of use. Please note that battery performance will vary depending on individual usage patterns and environmental conditions.

A full charge of Styletto X takes 4 hours.

With “charging-on-the-go” provided by our ultra-slim portable charging case, charging is possible anywhere, free from plugs or cables. And only 30 minutes charging allows our wearers an:

  • Up to 5 hours additional regular use (without streaming); or
  • Up to 3 hours additional streaming time
Styletto charging case allows three full charges of your hearing aids “on the go”. This delivers an astounding 4 days* of user autonomy.

If you use Bluetooth connectivity functions (e.g. direct audio streaming) very frequently and battery life/wearing time is very important to you, Pure 13 delivers up to 7 days wearing time with one single battery (based on a 16 hour day with 6 hours streaming). This is the longest streaming time in the market.

Yes.  The Signia Assistant available for all performance levels

The Signia Assistant can apply solution to common issues by changing the following parameters of the first program of the hearing aids:

  • Own Voice Processing
  • Dynamic Soundscape Processing (DSP)
  • Gain/Compression

Yes.

There is a reset button for both you in Connexx and for the wearer in the app. This reverts the settings back to the original hearing aid fitting. To know more, please check the “Signia Assistant How-To” document available for download on this page.

There are several reasons why the Signia Assistant might not be available: 

  • Your client doesn't have an Xperience hearing aid with Bluetooth paired with the app.
  • Signia Assistant is not available in your country (please contact your Signia representative to know which countries Signia Assistant is available in).
  • Hearing aids were fitted before Signia Assistant was released (If this is the case, see Q7).
No datasource set, or datasource is wrong template type (or context item, if no datasource set)

Yes, you need to connect the devices to Connexx, then go to the configuration page; there’s a checkbox for activating the Signia Assistant for previously fitted devices (pre-Signia Assistant).

If you’re using TeleCare, please ask your local contact how this can be utilized.

No. The processing power and neural network is hosted online, and there is not an offline solution. This also ensures that the knowledge encapsulated in it is always up to date. 
Yes, with the natural limitations in terms of tools for a monaural fitting.  
Signia cannot trace any personal information at all. The whole system is 100% anonymized, and only big group data is analyzed; no individual data is collected. This is extremely important and the basis for the whole system. We couldn’t have such a system if anything was traceable. Our “Privacy Policy” is displayed in the App (Settings->Imprint->Privacy policy).
The Signia app is freely downloadable in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store of all compatible iOS and Android devices.
The Signia app is compatible with the complete Signia hearing aid portfolio except Fun and Fast.

The Signia app is compatible with most of the Android (Android 7.0 and higher) and Apple (iOS version 11 and higher, iOS 12 recommended) devices. You will find the list of the recommended Android devices for the optimal app stability on the Signia app website.

 

Using the Signia app, you can:

  • Change the hearing program and microphone volume level;
  • Adjust the sound balance (basses and trebles)
  • Adjust the Tinnitus therapy signal (if available)
  • Adjust the directionality of the hearing aid microphones individually by using the 360° Spatial Configurator
  • Manage you audio streaming devices (e.g. StreamLine TV, StreamLine Mic, CROS devices, etc) and control their volume discreetly.
  • Stay in closer contact with your hearing care professional and get individual remote support via TeleCare (a prior activation by your hearing care professional is needed)

As a result the Signia app offers you a wide variety of individual adjustment options enabling further personalization of your hearing experience.

Depending on the operating system of your mobile device as well as the type of your hearing aids, the Signia app may require some initial permissions like:

  • Receiving notifications
  • To get notifications from your HCP
  • Accessing the motion & fitness activity
  • To improve your listening experience while you are moving, walking or in any other activity
  • Accessing the location services:
    To use the activity/movement/walking detection feature
    To keep the application alive in the background
    Please note: No location data is transferred!
  • Accessing the camera, audio, photos, media and files
  • To receive a video call from your hearing care professional (available upon prior activation by your hearing care professional
  • The Signia hearing aids of your client should be compatible with TeleCare. Please note that TeleCare is compatible with the full Signia hearing aid portfolio (except Fun and Fast).
  • The smartpone of your clint should be compatible with the Signia app. Please check the Signia app website for the list of the compatible devices.
  • A headset is needed for voice calls and additionally a webcam if you would like to make video calls.
The easy and intuitive setup process enable you to activate TeleCare within few minutes. Please follow the steps described in our Quick Guide.
Yes. With TeleCare, we currently offer you the full range of the available feature set completely free of charge.

The TeleCare Portal and all data related to it is stored on servers provided by Microsoft Azure. Access to these systems is highly restricted and controlled. Any access is logged and documented for audit purposes. Communication between HCP browser sessions or patient devices and the web servers is also secured and encrypted (with HTTPS).

We are providing the highest data security and privacy. All data and all communication between the TeleCare Portal and the app on your client’s smartphone are encrypted. Access to the TeleCare Portal is protected by a password for every employee in your practice. You and your clients can be fully confident about data security.

Yes, with Signia hearing aids you will be able to stream the sound into both ears and enjoy the stereo sound quality.
If you get a phone call while you are streaming music, then you will hear the ringtone of the phone call and the music streaming will be paused automatically. As soon as the call has ended, the music streaming continues from the point where it has been paused.
In case you have a non-Apple mobile device with Bluetooth functionality, you can still enjoy audio streaming by using our StreamLine Mic accessory.
Currently, StreamLine Mic is compatible with all Signia Xperience and Signia Nx hearing aids with Bluetooth connectivity.

The StreamLine Mic enables direct connectivity to the following devices:

  • Bluetooth-enabled Android devices

StreamLine Mic can be paired with max. eight (8) Bluetooth devices.

Pairing has to be done only once. StreamLine Mic connects to the first Bluetooth device within reach automatically. To switch to another device, the Bluetooth connection of the active device has to be disabled.

The StreamLine Mic provides up to 6 hours battery runtime with full functionality, i.e. continuous streaming.


Full charge takes approximately 2 hours.

Yes. You can pair an unlimited number Bluetooth hearing aids with your StreamLine TV at the same time and you can stream to them at the same time as well.

No, you cannot pair your hearing aids with multiple StreamLine TVs at the same time.

In order to be able to stream from another StreamLine TV at home, you have to re-pair your hearing aids with it (turn the hearing aids off and on – by opening and closing the battery door -, put your hearing aids onto the top side of the StreamLine TV and wait for app. 30 seconds).

StreamLine TV can be used without the Signia app.

In order to activate the TV Stream directly from the Nx Hearing Aids, please follow this workflow in Connexx:

If you fit any Nx instrument and you go to “Configuration” in Connexx you can set the Rocker Switch to “TV Stream” which automatically connects the hearing aid to the StreamLine TV.

This can be applied for short press and medium press.
